Shona Dennett
Nurse
Shona graduated from the Wellington Hospital School of Nursing in 1982.
She worked mainly in orthopaedics, acute medical and aged care while her children were young then began practice nursing in 1997.
She has been with PMC since 1999, currently as senior nurse, and has been fortunate to develop long professional relationships with many of the patients.
Shona enjoys the variety of work in the practice and appreciates the supportive team she is a part of.
Amanda Read
Nurse
Amanda received her bachelor of Nursing Degree from Massey University in 2013. She has been working at PMC since March 2014.
She is currently working towards post-graduate qualifications.
Amanda is interested in many areas of nursing and enjoys learning something new every day.
Vorrei Maher
Nurse
Vorrei trained as a registered nurse at Greenlane Hospital and later did midwifery in England.
She has been a Practice Nurse since 1991. Vorrei enjoys the mix of patients she sees here with both acute and chronic conditions. She has a special interest in diabetes.
Vorrei enjoys walking on the beach and in the bush, biking, gardening and reading.
Liffet Stewart
Nurse
Liffet has been at Paraparaumu Medical centre since 2009 with time off to work in Timor Leste.
She is a Registered Nurse with a diploma in Tropical Diseases, BA and MEd and a special interest in nurses education having taught at Whitireia Polytechnic.
Liffet enjoys spending time with her three adult children, tramping and reforestation projects.
Denise Katz
Nurse
Denise has been a nurse all of her adult life, starting in Wellington Hospital.
She worked in coronary care, intensive care, accident and emergency departments and women’s health.
As her family life changed she moved out into the community working with elderly, district nursing and eventually practice nursing.
She moved up the Kapiti Coast in 2000 and has worked for PMC on and off ever since.
She loves caring for people, the feeling that her nursing can make a difference to people’s lives. Outside of nursing, she has been married for 38 years, has two grown up children and now two grandchildren.
Denise’s interests include tramping, skiing and traveling at any opportunity she gets. Life is good!
